Formula for intra dermal injections

CONJONCTYL® is a sterile solution of sodium monomethyltrisilanol orthohydroxybenzoate, associating a derivative of bioavailable organic silicon and salicylic acid.
CONJONCTYL® is presented in an identical formula with all the properties aligned to this formula. CONJONCTYL® is now a medical device and is once again available in pharmacies in a new indication: filling of cutaneous depressions (brow wrinkles, crows feet) and scars via intra dermal injections.
Down through the years, many authors have referenced CONJONCTYL®, particularly in the field of aesthetical medicine. The pre-clinical studies realised within our research department along with a rigorous clinical study have allowed us to confirm the product's efficiency in aesthetic medicine.

The formula

The principle active of CONJONCTYL® is a salicylate of monomethyltrisilanol. It does not act like a silica mineral, but as an organic derivative of silicon due to the presence of silicon-carbon (Si-C) liaisons forming the monomethyltrisilanol part. The salicylate and silanols are linked by the hydrogen liaisons. It is these liaisons that allow for the product to be maintained in solution and avoids polycondensation of the monomethyltrisilanol. Therefore the product is mainly present as monomers and to the maximum as trimers.
Once injected into the derm, there is a rupture of the hydrogen liaisons and a separation of the molecule into two parts. The analgesic action of salicylate allows for a reduction in the pain caused by the injection. The liberation of silanol in situ thus potentializes its action in the reorganisation of the derm.

Product presentation

CONJONCTYL® is presented in a box of 10 bottles of 5 ml each and is commercialised as a medical device in its new indication: filling of cutaneous depressions; wrinkles (brow, crows feet) and scars by intra dermal injections.
CONJONCTYL® is in full conformity with the requirements of Directive 93/42 CE for class III medical devices. As an injectable product, it is perfectly sterile and pyrogen-free. Its new conditioning in plastic bottles assures that the product is fully sealed and hence it remains both sterile and stable over time.
